Chairman’s Message
It gives me great pleasure to write the foreword for the Corporate Plan of the Organic Federation of Australia. This living document is the culmination of over a year’s work from the time it was conceived, funded, researched and developed.

A very significant part of this plan is the extensive stakeholder input and consultation that has been built into the processes of developing this comprehensive document. It ensures that this plan is relevant to the whole sector.

Another significant aspect has been the partnership with government in funding and facilitating this plan through the Industry Partnerships Program.

It is an exciting time to be involved in the organic sector as it is one of the fastest growing industries in Australia and around the world. The plan will ensure that the Organic Federation of Australia, as the peak body for the organic sector, can help facilitate and guide this growth in a strategic and considered direction.

This corporate plan summarises a comprehensive business and marketing plan that delivers numerous benefits including the setting of strategic directions for the restructured OFA that brings together stakeholders to deliver expertise, momentum, and sector growth and development.

We would also like to thank all of the many people who provided input into producing an excellent resource for the OFA. This includes the board of directors of the OFA who generously gave an enormous amount of their time to this project.

I highly recommend this plan to members and stakeholders and look forward to the next steps – the implementation of the recommendations.
